June 2008

• 2008 Rio Tinto Prize for Sustainability Call for Entries launched.
• 2007 Alcan Prize for Sustainability showcased at the Conference de Montreal.

September 2008

• Entries close 12 September (midnight GMT)

November/December 2008

• Assessment process undertaken.

January 2009

• All entrants notified of success or otherwise by 31 January.

February 2009

• Shortlist organisations verified and validated.
• 2008 Prize for Sustainability short listed organisations announced.

March/April 2009

• Adjudication Panel determines winner.

June 2009

• Prize and training grant recipients notified and announced
• 2008 Rio Tinto Prize for Sustainability winner celebrated.
