Rio Tinto and IBLF hosted a Prize meeting in Delhi, India bringing together the 2008 Rio Tinto Prize for Sustainability finalists with previous Prize winners to share and exchange experience, network and to see at first hand examples of the 2006 and 2007 winners' work on the ground. The event was attended by participants from Asia Pacific, Europe, The Americas and South Asia.

The group carried out site visits to The Barefoot College that works to improve the lives in so many ways for the villagers of Tilonia in Rajasthan and to Utthan, based in Allahabad works holistically on poverty alleviation.
